Catholic Parliamentary & Public Policy Internships

For the last nine years the Catholic Bishops’ Conference has organised Parliamentary and Public Policy Internships for recently graduated Catholics.
This year we are looking to offer 8 internships:
Five interns will be placed with Christian MP’s at Westminster;
Two in Public Policy with CAFOD and CARITAS Social Action Network;
and one in a media internship at Archbishop’s House, Westminster.
All internships will run from September 2012 – July 2013 and include accommodation and subsistence allowances.

Parishioners Talking

Come and join us on five Thursdays for Parishioners talking about ‘Coming Back to God’ on January 10th, 19th and 26th, February 2nd and 9th at St. Mark’s Church Meeting Room.

Lent Project – GPPA

During Lent, the Parishes of the Great Park Pastoral Area are aiming to raise £20,000 to help a very poor parish in Northern Uganda entrusted to Mill Hill Missionaries.
Please can you come up with ideas to raise some money to help this parish help itself. Ideas and targets, please to Presbytery as soon as possible.

Lent Group 2012

This year the Lent Group discussions will be based around the Bishop’s Document: ‘Sharing the Bread of Life’.
There are 7 sessions altogether, we will have four in Lent and carry on after Easter, finishing just before Pentecost.
The first Introductory session will take place on Wednesday 15th February, and is entitled ‘Gathering’.
The Bishop has put together an interesting study book for use with groups, and all group discussions will be based on this, and there will be prayer and music, also.
The meetings will take place at 7.30pm in the RE Centre, and we look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 15th February.
